One of the first things you’ll notice in this level is the new enemy, the Koopa, roaming about. When you’re in battle with him, you can jump on him to kick him towards any of the enemies behind him. Once you defeat this first one, you’ll earn the Shell Sticker, which will allow you to throw a shell at enemies!
If you want a Fire Flower Sticker, don’t break the 1 + 3 boxes in the back just yet. Climb up the path on the right and then jump on the top of that 1 + 3 set. The fire flower is resting in the top box.
Let’s head to the Flower Gardens before we go further through the level. This will be the higher of the two exits in the area. You’ll notice an intense wind that stops you from progressing any further. You can, however, collect a small fortune of coins by muscling your way up to the top and going behind the bushes to the left. AShiny Fire Flower will be waiting for you there as well.
Note: If your Sticker Album is almost full, leave one space left. You will want to have 3 Fire Flower/Ice Flower stickers for later on.
In this new area, you’ll find the source of that terrible wind you encountered earlier. Turn off the Fan Thing and stick it in your pocket. Then, make your way back to the Flower Gardens (where that wind stopped you earlier). In the area where the windstorm was, talk to the crying Toad near the garden. It appears that the wind destroyed his garden. To fix it, go into Paperize mode and place a combination of three Fire Flower and Ice Flower stickers. If you don’t have them, make sure to come back when you do – this Toad will give you an HP-Up for your troubles.
NOTE: Once you use the fan as a Fan Thing sticker, you should keep this routine to double your flower stickers. Toad will reward you each time after this with double sickers...use your shiny or flashy stickers to double them!
Continue along the path until you come across the poor Toad being manhandled by two Goombas. They say they’ll stop if you pay them 20 coins, but as you know, it’s our policy not to negotiate with terrorists. Beat ‘em down!
As a token of his gratitude, the red Toad will give you the Cat-o-Luck Thing for saving him. When you move into the next area, collect all the stamps you can find (including those behind the Bowser Tape on the wall), because you’ll have another fight coming up. Be sure to Paperize some stickers at the two sets of 6 green circles coming up. Whenever you see 6 green circles on the floor, paperize.
This battle is more of an opportunity to introduce the game’s roulette feature. However many pictures you match determines how many stickers you get to use each turn. If you match two items, you can use two stickers per turn, and if you match all three, you receive an item bonus in addition to the ability to use three stickers. Finish off those Goombas and let’s keep rolling! Before you leave, be sure to grab the Ice Flower Sticker in the top left part of the area.
The area after, you can collect a few more stickers and defeat a few more enemies if you choose, but the goal not hard to reach. Collect that Comet Sticker and you’ll be finished with World 1-2!
